pSI Mammalian Expression Vector(pSI 哺乳动物表达载体)能够在哺乳动物细胞中促进插入的克隆DNA 的组成型表达。pCI 和pSI 哺乳动物表达载体的主要差别在于控制插入基因表达的增强子/启动子区域。pSI 表达载体带有猿病毒40(simian virus 40,SV40) 增强子和一个早期启动子区域。这个载体既可用于瞬时表达也可用于稳定表达。对于稳定表达，pSI 载体必须与带有哺乳动物细胞选择性基因的表达载体共转染。

The pCI and pSI Mammalian Expression Vectors are designed to promote constitutive expression of cloned DNA inserts in mammalian cells. The major difference between the two vectors is the enhancer/promoter region controlling expression of the inserted gene. The pSI Expression Vector contains the simian virus 40 (SV40) enhancer and early promoter region, whereas the pCI Expression Vector contains the human cytomegalovirus (CMV) major immediate-early gene enhancer/promoter region.
