Ambion® ArrayScript™ Reverse Transcriptase is a M-MLV reverse transcriptase that has been engineered to produce high yields of full-length cDNA. 4,000 U are supplied along with a 10X Reaction Buffer. Reverse transcriptases (RTs) are used in a variety of molecular biology experiments where success can depend upon full-length cDNA synthesized during the reverse transcription reaction. In RNA amplification experiments, up to twice as much cRNA is synthesized when the first-strand cDNA is generated with ArrayScript™ RT compared to wild type M-MLV, AMV, or other engineered M-MLV reverse transcriptases when low amounts of total RNA (~100 ng) are used (see figure). This can eliminate the need to perform two rounds of cRNA amplification when working with limiting amounts of total RNA. ArrayScript™ is also suitable for other RT and RT-PCR applications where high yields of full-length cDNA are required, such as cDNA library construction, 5' RLM-RACE, etc.
