5X OneTaq® (Mg-Free) Standard Reaction Buffer is optimized for use with OneTaq and OneTaq Hot Start DNA Polymerases. This reaction buffer has been formulated for robust yields while allowing for maximal flexibility in Mg²⁺ optimization. The OneTaq (Mg-Free) Standard Reaction Buffer with supplemental MgCl₂ is recommended for most routine and/or AT-rich amplicons (i.e. Lambda, etc.) or complex amplicons with up to ~65% GC content that require complete control over the reaction's Mg²⁺ concentration. Supplemental MgCl₂ is provided.

Reaction Conditions:
1X OneTaq (Mg-Free) Standard Reaction Buffer, 1.5–2.0 mM MgCl₂, DNA template, primers, 200 µM dNTPs (not included) and 1.25 units of OneTaq or OneTaq Hot Start DNA Polymerase (not included) in a total reaction volume of 50 µl.
