CD31, also known as platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule 1 (PECAM1) is a type I integral membrane glycoprotein, and a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of cell surface receptors. PECAM-1 is constitutively expressed on the surface of endothelial cells where it is concentrated at cell junctions. PECAM-1 is also expressed at low levels on all leukocytes and platelets. Homotypic interaction of CD31 is important in cell-cell interaction, cell-matrix interaction and signal transduction.

PTM:Phosphorylated on Ser and Tyr residues after cellular activation.
Evaluated by Western Blot on THP-1 and Jurkat cell lysates.
Western Blot Analysis: 1:5,000 - 20,000 dilution of this antibody was used to detect PECAM1 in THP-1 and Jurkat cell lysates.

Storage Conditions
Stable for 1 year at -20ºC from date of receipt.
Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt, and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance. Note: Variability in freezer temperatures below -20°C may cause glycerolcontaining solutions to become frozen during storage.
