MCA1054 reacts with a PI-linked glycoprotein, Mw 18-20kD found on all types of leucocytes including platelets. The antigen is expressed on many haemapoietic and non-haemapoietic cells. MEM-43 has been shown to stimulate NK activity.
CD59 is expressed by erythrocytes and therefore staining in whole blood systems requires a high concentration of antibody.
* The epitope recognised by MEM-43 is lost after reduction, therefore, non-reducing conditions are required for western blotting techniques (2, 5).
Storage
Store at +4oC or at -20oC if preferred.
This product should be stored undiluted.
Storage in frost free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
