HCA065A recognises human focal adhesion kinase (FAK), a cytoplasmic protein tyrosine kinase of approximately 119kD that is activated by numerous stimuli and controls cell motility, proliferation and apoptosis. FAK is widely expressed in various tissues and cultured cells. It is located within focal adhesions that form between cells and plays a vital role in integrin signalling.
FAK plays a potential role in oncogenic transformation, and its expression is thought to be correlated to tumour invasiveness.

A monovalent human recombinant Fab selected from the HuCAL® GOLD phage display library, expressed inE. coli.The antibody is tagged with a myc-tag (EQKLISEEDL) and a his-tag (HHHHHH) at the C-terminus of the antibody heavy chain. This antibody is supplied lyophilised.

Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
