PTP1B Antibody用于检测内源性PTP1B总蛋白水平。多克隆抗体是通过合成对应于人PTP1B蛋白羧基端序列的肽段免疫动物获得，抗体经Protein A和肽亲和层析纯化。蛋白酪氨酸磷酸酶1B(PTP1B)是蛋白酪氨酸磷酸酶蛋白家族的一个成员（1）。PTP1B在胰岛素反应组织中高表达，能够通过对磷酸化酪氨酸残基的去磷酸化作用来下调胰岛素和整合素信号（2-4）。PTP1B基因敲除的小鼠表现出对饮食增重的抵抗和胰岛素敏感性的增强，这提示它可以在肥胖和2型糖尿病治疗中发挥某些作用（5）。

PTP1B Antibody detects endogenous levels of total PTP1B protein.

Source / Purification

Polyclonal antibodies are produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues near the carboxy terminus of human PTP1B protein. Antibodies are purified by protein A and peptide affinity chromatography.

Background

Protein-tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B) is the original member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family of proteins (1). PTP1B is highly expressed in insulin-responsive tissues and negatively regulates insulin, as well as integrin, through dephosphorylation of phosphotyrosine residues (2-4). PTP1B knockout mice show resistance to dietary weight gain and enhanced insulin sensitivity, suggesting a possible role in treatment of obesity as well as type 2 diabetes (5).
