CTMP Antibody可以检测内源性总的CTMP 水平。该多克隆抗体是采用合成的与人类CTMP序列相对应的肽段免疫动物而生产的。抗体采用蛋白A和肽亲和层析法来纯化。羧基末端调节蛋白（CTMP）是Akt负相调节因子，且为Akt结合蛋白。 Akt,又被称为PKB 或 Rac，在调控细胞的生长和凋亡的平衡中扮演了重要角色(1-3)。这个激酶可以被胰岛素（insulin）或各种生长因子和存活信号所激活，在包括PI3K激酶通路等的对wortmannin敏感的通路中起作用(2,3)。磷脂结合以，由PDK1介导的其Thr308位点的环磷酸化以及羧基端Ser473位点的磷酸化都可以激活Akt(4)。CTMP结合Akt羧基末端的调节域，抑制在Thr308 和Ser473的磷酸化（5）。

Source / Purification

Polyclonal antibodies are produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues of human CTMP. Antibodies are purified by protein A and peptide affinity chromatography.

Background

Carboxyl-terminal modulator protein (CTMP) is a negative regulator of Akt and was identified as an Akt binding protein. Akt, also referred to as PKB or Rac, plays a critical role in controlling the balance between survival and apoptosis (1-3). This protein kinase, activated by insulin and various growth and survival factors, functions in a wortmannin-sensitive pathway involving PI3 kinase (2,3). Akt is activated by phospholipid binding and activation loop phosphorylation at Thr308 by PDK1 (4), and by phosphorylation within the carboxy-terminus at Ser473. CTMP binds to the regulatory domain of Akt at the carboxy terminus of the protein and inhibits phosphorylation on Thr308 and Ser473 (5).
