The biological activity of Ras is mediated by the conversion of bound GTP to DP. This process is controlled, in part, by Ras guanine
nucleotide releasing factor (GNRP) and several Ras GTPase-activating proteins (GAPs). p120GAP is the GTPase for the normal form of Ras,
but is not reactive with oncogenic Ras. Gap1[m] is a homologue of the Drosophila Gap1 protein which also affects the non-oncogenic form of
Ras. Gap1[m] is a 100 kDa protein GTPase that binds Ras with high affinity and, unlike p120GAP, Gap1[m] contains no SH2 or SH3
domains. At its N-terminus, Gap1[m] has two repeats similar to the C2 domain of Protein Kinase C. The GAP-related domain (GRD) is
centrally located and is flanked on the C-terminal side by a pleckstrin homology domain.

注意事项:
1.Since applications vary, each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results.
2.Caution: Sodium azide yields highly toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in plumbing.
