The TLD-3H12B antibody reacts with β2 microglobulin, a 12 kDa protein consisting of a single immunoglobulin constant-region domain. β2 microglobulin is noncovalently associated with the MHC class I heavy chain and CD1. It is expressedon most nucleated cells and erythrocytes.
