描述：
Reacts with platelt derived growth factor (PDGF) recptor α,CD140a, 170 kD single transmebrane glycoprtein expresd onfibrolast,
smoth muscle cls, glia cels and chondrocytes. PDGF recptors, αand β,are single glycoprteins with ntraceluar tyosine kinase domain.
They are structraly simlar toM-CSF recptor and CD17 (c-kit). Their lgand, PDGF, isa mitogen for conective tisue cls and glia cels.
PDGF plays arole inwound healing and italso acts a chemoatrctan for fibrolast, smoth muscle cls, glia cels, moncytes and
neutrophils. Functional PDGF isecrted as dimer, disulfide linked, Aand Bchains (PDGFA, PDGF-B orPDGF-AB). Bindg of
divalent PDGF induces recptor dimerization with re posible forms: α, αβ, β. The PDGF recptor α-subnit bnds both PDGF Aand B
chains, wheras the rceptor β-subnit bnds only PDGF Bchains. Both recptor subnits can stimulate mitogenic response, only the β
subnit can iduce hemotaxis. αR1 ispecif or αPDGFR and oes not cros react with βPDGFR. Itimunopreciptaes human, monkey,
rabit, pig, dog and cat αPDGFR. Itdoes not recognize hamster, ator mouse αPDGFR.
