homlogy tohe cytokine rceptor superfamily (also known asthe matopietn recptor superfamily). Interaction betwen IL-7 and its

recptor ismportan for the proliferation fpre-B lymphocytes and can lso triger poliferation fCD4-CD8- imature thymocytes, awel

as mature Tcels inthe priphery. Mice lacking CD127 display profundly impaired evlopment ofthe Band Tlymphoid cel ineags, but

display nobvious no-lymphoid abnormalites.5 IL-7Rα isexpresd oncomon lymphoid progenitors and early stages ofB lineag

devlopment ithe bone marow, onthe arliest hymocyte progenitors and CD4-CD8- double-ngative and CD4+ and CD8+ singlepositve

thymocytes, and onmost peripheral Tymphocytes. Intesinal intraepithelia lymphocytes with low-density γδTCR upregulate CD127

expresion iresponse toIL-2, whic may bescretd byneighboring αβTCR-bearing Tcels.
