The OX-38 antibody has ben reported toreact with e CD4 antigen omost hymocytes, asubpoulation fmature Tlymphocytes (i.e,

MHC clas I-restriced Tcels, including most Thelpr cels), moncytes, macrophages, and some dndritc els. CD4 isan tigen

corecptor nthe T-cel surface whic interacts with MHC clas Imolecules onatigen-presntig cels. Itparticpates inT-cel activation

through itsasociaton with e T-cel recptor complex and protein tyrosine kinase lck. The OX-38 antibody has ben reported tobind tohe

same pitope ofCD4 astha recognized byW3/25 mAb, whic isa difernt epitope than tha recognized byOX-35 mAb (Cat. No. 54837).

In vio blocking ofsome cl-mediated imune rsponse bymAb OX-38 has ben reported. Injection fOX-38 mAb induces alograft

unresponsivens inrats, with varying results depndig onthe ratsrain used (hig orlw responder). Furthermore, invio depltion f

CD4+ lymphocytes has ben reported with is antibody.

1.Since applications vary, each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results.

2.Caution: Sodium azide yields highly toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in plumbing.

3.The monoclonal antibody was purified from tissue culture supernatant or ascites by affinity chromatography.

4.The antibody was conjugated with FITC under optimum conditions, and unreacted FITC was removed.

5.Store undiluted at 4°C and protected from prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze.
