AHP969 recognises the N-terminal (NT) region of human TGFbeta activated protein kinase 1 isoform a (TAK1), a 50kDa protein kinase expressed in a wide range of cells, normally in complex with TAK1-binding proteins (TAB1 and either TAB2 or TAB3).
TAK1 functions as a mediator of intracellular signalling pathways within the immune system, including those induced by TGF beta and TIR superfamily members.

Antiserum Preparation
Antisera to human TAK1 (NT) were raised by repeated immunisations of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.
