AHP878 is specific for human casein kinase II (CKII), alpha polypeptide.
CKII is a ubiquitous protein kinase which localises to the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus. CKII is composed of three subunits (alpha, alpha prime and beta) which form a tetrameric holoenzyme. The alpha and alpha prime subunits are catalytic.
CKII is involved in the regulation of numerous pathways, including signal transduction, cell cycle and some metabolic pathways

Shelf Life
18 months from date of despatch.
Antiserum Preparation
Antisera to human CKII alpha were raised by repeated immunisations of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.
