AHP632 specifically recognises an epitope within the C-terminal (CT) region of damage-specific DNA binding protein 1 (DDB1), a 130kD protein that forms the large subunit of DNA damage binding protein (DDB). DDB1 is involved in the nucleotide-excision repair of DNA following damage caused by ultraviolet radiation.

Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.

Antisera to DDB1 (CT) were raised by repeated immunisations of goats with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.
