AHP590 recognises mature and precursor forms of human Cathepsin L. The antibody also recognises Cathepsin L enzyme/inhibitor complexes.
Cathepsin L is a potent lysosomal cysteine proteinase reported to be involved in several pathological processes including rheumatoid arthritis, muscular dystrophy, Alzheimer's and cancer.

This product should be stored undiluted.
Storage in frost free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the protein. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.

Antiserum Preparation
Antisera to Cathepsin L were raised by repeated immunisation of sheep with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.
