AHP392 recognises the human ATM protein, a 350kD polypeptide that is the product of the ATM gene. The ATM gene is defective in Ataxia telangiectasia.
ATM protein is expressed within the nucleus of all normal cells and is thought to be important in detection of DNA damage.

This product requires heat mediated treatment of paraffin sections. Serotec recommend the use of antigen unmasking fluid for this purpose. A two hour incubation with AHP392 is recommended.
Where this antibody has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the antibody for use in their own system using appropriate negative/positive controls.
