AHP2158 recognises Human Adenosine Monophosphate Deaminase 1 (AMPD1), a catalytic protein belonging to the adenosine and AMP deaminase family.
AMPD is a critical enzyme in energy metabolism and catalyses the deamination of AMP to IMP, AMPD exists in three isoforms, AMPD1 is the predominate form found in skeletal muscle while AMPD2 predominates in smooth muscle and other tissues and AMPD3 in erythrocytes.

Where this product has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the product for use in their own system using appropriate negative/positive controls.
Immunohistology
This product does not require protein digestion pre-treatment of paraffin sections. This product does not require antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections.
Storage
Store at +4oC or at -20oC if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life
18 months from date of despatch.
Antiserum Preparation
Antisera to AMPD1 were raised by repeated immunisation of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.
