AHP2110 specifically recognises an epitope within the C-terminal (CT) region of human ERp29, otherwise known as endoplasmic reticulum protein 29, a subunit of a large chaperone multi-protein complex, located in the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER), which is implicated in the correct processing/folding of secretory proteins.
The CT region of ERp29, may be responsible for its attachment to the ER, and has been shown to play a role in the local unfolding of polyomavirus (PyV) and subsequent infection.

Antiserum to human ERp29 (CT) was raised by repeated immunisation of goats with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared by affinity chromatography.
