AHP2045 recognises porcine Glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase 2 (GOT2), also widely known as Aspartarte transaminase, a 47.7kDa protein belonging to the class-I pyridoxal-phosphate-dependent aminotransferase family.
GOT2 is involved in the transport of lipids across cell membranes, three isoenzymes are known, cytoplasmic, mitochondrial and chloroplastic, AHP2055 recognises the mitochondrial form.

This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.

Antiserum to porcine GOT2 was raised by repeated immunisation of sheep with highly purified antigen. Ig fraction was prepared from whole serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation.
