AHP1869 recognises N-ethylmaleimide sensitive fusion protein (NSF), a trimeric ATPase component of the SNARE protein complex. It catalyses the fusion of transport vesicles within the Golgi cisternae and is also involved in transport from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi stack. NSF seems to function as a fusion protein required for the delivery of cargo proteins to all compartments of the Golgi stack regardless of vesicle origin.

Where this product has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the product for use in their own system using appropriate negative/positive controls.
Western Blotting
AHP1869 detects a band of approximately 75kDa in rat caudate lysate.
Storage
Store at +4oC or at -20oC if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life
18 months from date of despatch.
Antiserum Preparation
Antisera to NSF were raised by repeated immunisations of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG prepared by affinity chromatography.
