AHP1818 specifically ecognises an epitope within the N-terminal (NT) region of human MEK7, otherwise known as MAPKK7 (mitogen activated protein kinase kinase 7), a ubiquitously expressed dual specificity protein kinase, and member of the tyrosine/threonine protein kinase family, which acts as a signal transducer in response to environmental stresses/inflammation.
MEK7 is activated by phosphorylation by specific kinase kinase kinases including MAP3K1/MEKK1, MAP3K2/MEKK2, MAP3K3/MEKK5, and MAP4K2/GCK, and is an activator of the Jun kinases JNK1/MAPK8, JNK2/MAPK9 and JNK3/MAPK10 signalling pathways.

Where this product has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the product for use in their own system using appropriate negative/positive controls.
Storage
Store at -20oC only.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life
18 months from date of despatch.
Antiserum Preparation
Antiserum to human MEK7 (NT) was raised by repeated immunisation of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared by affinity chromatography.
ELISA
This product is suitable for use in indirect ELISA applications.
