AHP1807 specifically recognises an epitope within the N-terminal (NT) region of human CD195, otherwise known as CCR5 (C-C chemokine receptor type 5), a transmembrane glycoprotein and member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family, preferentially expressed by a subset of memory Th1 (type 1 helper T) cells.
CD195 acts as a high-affinity receptor for several chemotactic chemokines, including MIP-1 alpha (macrophage inflammatory protein 1 alpha), MIP-1 beta, and RANTES (regulated on activation normal T expressed and secreted protein). CD195 is also a major co-receptor for HIV-1 infection, with variations in the CD195 gene, influencing the rate of progression into AIDS.
AHP1807 is reported as suitable for use in immunocytochemistry on human peripheral blood leucocytes.

This product may require antigen retrieval using EDTA buffer.
Where this product has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the product for use in their own system using appropriate negative/positive controls.
Storage
Store at -20oC only.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life
18 months from date of despatch.
Antiserum Preparation
Antiserum to human CD195 (NT) was raised by repeated immunisation of goats with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared by affinity chromatography.
ELISA
This product is suitable for use in indirect ELISA applications.
