AHP1460 recognizes mouse Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor delta (PPARD), also known as Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor beta (PPARB), a 52.2kDa transcription factor belonging to the nuclear hormone receptor (NR1) family.
PPARD is vital in the regulation of cellular differentiation, development and metabolism, PPARD is involved in the regulation of lipid metabolism and also acts as a receptor for the thiazolidinedione based drugs. Studies have indicated that PPARD mediates a variety of biological processes and maybe involved in the development of a number of disease states such as colorectal cancer, diabetes, atherosclerosis and obesity.
PPARD is ubiquitously expressed with highest levels being found in the placenta and skeletal muscle.

This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections.Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose.
Where this product has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the product for use in their own system using appropriate negative/positive controls.
Storage
Store at +4oC or at -20oC if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life
18 months from date of despatch.
Antiserum Preparation
Antiserum to mouse PPAR delta was raised by repeated immunisation of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.
