AHP1374 recognises the Human nuclear receptor DAX-1 (NROB1), a 52kDa nuclear and cytoplasmic protein. DAX-1 is a co-regulatory protein involved in the inhibition of transcriptional activity of other nuclear proteins through hetrodimeric interactions.
DAX-1 is additionally involved in the development and differentiation of anterior pituritary cells and in steroidogenesis, studies also indicate that DAX-1 is required for testis development and may have a role in the development of the embryo and in maintainance of embryonic stem cell pluripotency.
