AAR21B recognises rat ciliary neurotrophic factor (CNTF).
Rat CNTF is a 22.7kD neuroregulatory cytokine which is found predominantly in peripheral nerve tissue. CNTF promotes the survival and differentiation of neurons and other neuronal cell types.

Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.

Antiserum Preparation
Antiserum to rat CNTF was raised by repeated immunisation of with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.
This antibody may be used in a direct ELISA system or as a detection reagent in a sandwich ELISA together withAAR21as the capture reagent andPRP26as the standard.
