6050-0504 is specific for epithelial sialo mucin, a mucus glycoprotein, located mainly in carcinoma cells and in the glycocalix of most glandular epithelial cells.
6050-0504 is an excelent marker for carcinomas, occasionally it shows very weak reactivity with sarcomas and brain tumours. This clone does not react with normal colon or rectal epithelium but colorectal carcinomas are stained positive.
