5980-0311 is specific for Human MMP-3 and does not react with MMP 1, 2, 9 or fibronectin.
MMP-3 is a proteinase that degrades fibronectin, laminin, gelatins of type I, III, IV, and V; collagens III, IV, X, and IX, and cartilage proteoglycans.

Formalin fixation is recommended for paraffin embedded sections. Carnoys or 70% ethanol may also be suitable.
Western Blotting
Native Human MMP3 (5980-0357) is suitable for use with 5980-0311 in a western blot.
Storage
Store at +4oC or at -20oC if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
