4220-0256 is specific for rat epidermal growth factor, a 48 amino acid polypeptide capable of stimulating proliferation of both mesenchymal and epithelial cells.
4220-0256 has the ability to inhibit rat EGF binding to cultured human fibroblasts.
This antibody does not react with TGF-alpha.
