2150-1948 is specific for rat collagen type III, binding to both native and heat denatured collagen type III. This antibody is reactive with rat kidney, liver, skin and heart, but does not stain basement membranes.

Antiserum to rat collagen type III was raised by repeated immunisation of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.
